Abstrak
Pembelajaran pada tingkat sekolah dasar memiliki peran yang penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dasar siswa terutama pada pembelajaran matematika yang sering dianggap pembelajaran yang sulit. Sehingga, jika terdapat kesalahan dalam konsep, maka dapat menghambat proses berpikir siswa dalam mencermati suatu persoalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis adanya kesalahan dalam pemahaman konsep atau miskonsepsi materi nilai tempat bilangan dua angka. Pendekatan penelitian ini, merupakan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat beberapa siswa mengalami kesalahan konsep. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 3 yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Beberapa siswa menganggap bahwa lima ratus sembilan dilambangkan dengan 59. Siswa pun belum bisa menghitung lebih dari 100. Penjumlahan antara tiga angka belum bisa dioperasikan dengan baik karena masih banyaknya miskonsepsi nilai tempat bilangan itu sendiri. Siswa menganggap bahwa angka ratusan, ditulis sama dengan ratusan. Maka, subjek pada penelitian ini mengalami miskonsepsi dasar dalam materi nilai tempat bilangan khususnya tiga angka. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada nilai tempat bilangan dan media yang tepat untuk menangani miskonsepsi pada materi nilai tempat tiga bilangan.
