PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SMP BERBASIS SOAL HOTS: ANALISIS BERPIKIR TINGKAT TINGGI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) ditinjau dari tahapan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek terdiri dari tiga siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta di Gresik, yang mewakili kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi soal tes dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu memenuhi semua indikator berpikir tingkat tinggi, yaitu menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta; (2) siswa dengan kemampuan sedang hanya mampu menganalisis; dan (3) siswa dengan kemampuan rendah belum mampu melampaui tahap menganalisis.
