Meningkatkan Kemampuan Siswa Membaca dengan Menggunakan Media Kartu Kata Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

This study aims to improve the ability of second-grade students of SDN 4 Limboto to read sentences using word cards. This type of research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects in the study were the second-grade homeroom teacher at SDN 04 Limboto and 22 second-grade students. The object of the study was the improvement of students' reading ability by using word cards in the Indonesian language subject of second-grade students of SDN 04 Limboto. The data analysis techniques used in this study were analysis of test results and analysis of observation results. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students' reading ability by using word cards in the Indonesian language subject in second-grade students of SDN 04 Limboto. This is indicated by the students' reading ability in cycles I and II which increased. In cycle I, 14 students were categorized as having achieved the KKTP (63%) and in cycle II, 18 students were categorized as having achieved the KKTP (81%). So the KKTP increased by 18%. This is because in cycle II, students have begun to improve in the learning process, most of them can already read.
