Building Professional Competence through Career Wellbeing: Correlational Study of Teachers Indonesian Guidance and Counseling

Abstrack: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara career well-being dengan kompetensi profesional guru bimbingan dan konseling (BK) di Indonesia. Career well-being dipahami sebagai kondisi psikologis positif yang mencerminkan kepuasan dan keberlanjutan karier, sedangkan kompetensi profesional guru BK mencakup penguasaan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap dalam memberikan layanan konseling sesuai standar Permendiknas Nomor 27 Tahun 2008. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru BK di Indonesia, dengan sampel berjumlah 1.000 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala career well-being yang disusun peneliti berdasarkan teori Coetzee, Ferreira, & Potgieter serta angket kompetensi profesional yang dikembangkan oleh Mungin Eddy Wibowo. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara career well-being dengan kompetensi profesional guru BK (r = 0,796; p < 0,05). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa guru BK yang memiliki tingkat career well-being tinggi cenderung menunjukkan kompetensi profesional yang lebih baik dalam memberikan layanan konseling. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan career well-being melalui program pelatihan dan pengembangan berkelanjutan guna meningkatkan kualitas layanan bimbingan dan konseling di Indonesia.
