Analisis Minat Belajar Matematika Siswa Menggunakan Inovasi Engklek Berhitung dalam Pembelajaran di SD

This study aimed to describe students’ interest in learning mathematics before and after the use of Engklek Berhitung, a counting hopscotch innovation, in elementary school mathematics learning. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey technique. The subjects were 24 third-grade students of SDN 1 Paya Bujuk Tunong, consisting of 8 male students and 16 female students. Data were collected using a mathematics learning interest questionnaire consisting of 20 statements based on four indicators: enjoyment, attention, curiosity, and learning involvement. The questionnaire was administered before and after the implementation of Engklek Berhitung. The data were analyzed descriptively using percentages and interpreted based on learning interest categories. The results showed that students’ average learning interest increased from 40.62% before the implementation to 80.72% after the implementation. Students became more enthusiastic, attentive, curious, and actively involved in mathematics learning. These findings indicate that Engklek Berhitung can be used as an alternative learning medium to support students’ interest in learning mathematics in elementary school.
