This study aims to analyze students' preferences, supporting factors, and barriers in the implementation of the case method strategy within the Outcome-Based Education curriculum in the Curriculum Issues course. The study employed a mixed-method approach with a descriptive survey design. The subjects were 32 students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Program at Universitas Negeri Makassar who were enrolled in the Curriculum Issues course. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire consisting of 24 statements covering three aspects (preferences, supporting factors, and barriers) and three open-ended questions. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive percentages, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that students' preferences for the case method were in the very high category (81.6%), with the highest indicator being the relevance of cases to current curriculum issues (88.2%). The main supporting factors were the lecturer's role as a facilitator who provides clear guidance (82.6%) and constructive feedback (81.2%), with an average supporting factor score of 77.6% (high category). The most significant barrier was the limited time for in-depth case analysis (68.2%), with an average barrier score of 58.7% (moderate category).
