Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of audio-visual media and the learning interest of third-grade students in the Civics subject at Muhammadiyah Aimas Elementary School. The study was conducted in September 2025 using a quantitative correlational approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The learning media used consisted of instructional videos presented through a laptop and speakers. Data analysis included validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, and hypothesis testing using the t-value derived from the correlation coefficient. The results showed that all questionnaire items (P01–P10) were valid because the calculated r value exceeded the critical value of 0.381. The reliability test produced a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.678 > 0.60, indicating that the instrument was reliable. The normality test resulted in an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.200 > 0.05, showing that the data were normally distributed. The hypothesis test revealed a calculated t value of 4.011 > t table (2.06) with a significance level of < 0.05, indicating a positive and significant relationship between the use of audio-visual media and students’ learning interest.
