Choosing a college major is an important decision that affects a student's academic and career development. However, many students have difficulty deciding on a major due to a lack of self-understanding, social pressure, and a lack of moral and spiritual guidance. This study aims to analyze the role of prophetic counseling in increasing student independence in choosing a university major. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive analysis approach to research results related to prophetic value-based counseling. The results of the study show that prophetic counseling, through the principles of humanization, liberation, and transcendence, is effective in helping students recognize their potential, understand moral values, and strengthen their independence in decision-making. This approach also increases students' spiritual awareness, which has an impact on their academic motivation and emotional stability. The implication of this study is the need to integrate prophetic counseling in school guidance services to support students in making more meaningful and holistic educational decisions
