Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Student Centered Learning (SCL) Dengan Menggunakan Media Pop Up Book Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Student Centered Learning (SCL) model assisted by Pop Up Book media in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN 22 Soreang in science subjects. The research method used is pre-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 11 fourth-grade students selected using saturated sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test, as well as N-Gain score calculations to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pretest score before the implementation of the SCL model assisted by Pop Up Book was 44.27, with a standard deviation of 7.836. After the implementation of the learning model, the posttest score increased to 80.54, with a standard deviation of 6.137. The results of the paired sample t-test showed that the calculated t-value (-18.174) < t-table (-2.109), which means there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after treatment. The N-Gain Score test of 0.65 indicates that the increase in learning outcomes is in the moderate category. The results of this study prove that the application of the Student Centered Learning (SCL) model assisted by Pop Up Book is effective in improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, this model can be used as an alternative in science learning at the elementary school level.
